Although this was not our first visit to Hong Kong nor our first trunk show, it was our very first time showcasing at The Armoury Pedder Arcade—and also my first time working as event staff. I already had some idea of what The Armoury was like, but seeing it in person was on a completely different level. The building itself is stunning, inside and out. It carries a timeless, classic atmosphere, with natural light pouring through the windows in the most beautiful way. Every detail feels thoughtfully crafted, almost dreamlike. It’s a place where you can discover everything you could wish for—from clothing and cigars to even a first-edition copy of Charlotte’s Web.
During the event on November 27th and 28th, we brought our full lineup to Hong Kong so customers could see and feel each item firsthand. Since we do not have a physical store outside of Japan, trunk shows are our only opportunity to meet and listen directly to our international customers.
I had the chance to hear valuable feedback from many visitors. I was quite nervous at first—having worked at NAKATA HANGER for only a year, everything still feels new, and there is so much more for me to learn. But in the end, I had a wonderful time speaking with customers and the amazing staff at The Armoury. And although many international customers also visit our showroom in Tokyo, being able to meet them in their own city made the experience even more meaningful.
The event concluded successfully thanks to the support of our wonderful customers, both returning and new. Above all, I am deeply grateful for the hard work and dedication of the entire team at The Armoury. Thank you!
