This time, I would like to talk about something of my favorite things.
That is, “to look at people’s fashion”.
When I traveled to New York a few years ago, the most exciting thing for me was
“Hanging out and looking at what people were wearing.”
Some might think it is boring, but it was very special for me.
In New York, where people of various nationalities and races live,
I could find people with characteristic color-matched clothes that I could not see in Japan. That was fantastic.
Meanwhile, I’m working at Aoyama showroom in Tokyo.
Many people visit us to find the finest hanger.
Even during serving them, I’m always interested in seeing what they are wearing.
The following are examples of fashions we have seen so far.
A tall man who is wearing an extraordinarily long velvet coat that I would never be able to wear.
A man who is wearing a heavy leather jacket.
A lady who is wearing a knit with unusual color which I cannot explain.
And so many other unique outfits!
I always enjoy my hobby in the showroom (Secretly) because our customers are really into fashion.
When I see customers with good fashion, I cannot help saying to them, “You look great.”
Then they begin to speak their story of their cherished clothes with great smile.
I like listening to their story very much, and feel like “Thank you for choosing NAKATA HANGER for your precious clothes!”

今回は私のちょっとした趣味の話をしたいと思います。
私の小さな趣味の１つ、それは「人の服装を眺めること」です。
数年前に一人でニューヨークに旅行で行った時も、一番楽しかったことは
「散歩しながら街を歩く人の服装をひたすら眺めること」でした。
様々な国籍や人種の人が暮らすニューヨークは、日本では見かけない髪型や色合わせの服を着た人に溢れていてとても刺激的でした。
それは私にとっては観光名所に行くことよりも楽しかったのです。
さて、私が普段勤務しているのは東京のショールームですが、ショールームにはハンガーを求めて沢山のお客様がいらっしゃいます。
ここでも私はお客様の服装がつい気になってしまいます。
身長が高くない私では到底着られないような超ロング丈のコートをお召しの方。
重量感たっぷりのレザージャケットをお召しの方。
渋柿のような珍しい色のセータをお召の方。などなど。
ショールームにはこだわりのお洋服をお召しの方が沢山いらっしゃるので、私の趣味も大いにはかどります。
私は服が似合っている人を見るとつい「その服、良いですね」とお客様に声をかけてしまうのですが、
お声がけすると大体の方が嬉しそうに大切な自分の服の話をしてくれます。そしてお話を聞いていると、
「そんなに大切にしているお洋服のためにNAKATA HANGERを選んでくださりありがとうございます。」という気持ちになるのです。
