Hello everyone.
I’m staff A, a member of NAKATA HANGER.
I’d like to write some articles about ourselves, familiar events, Japanese culture, and of course hangers, and keep them in this closet one by one.
I’m always working at our showroom in Tokyo.
But our head office and factory are located at Toyooka in Hyogo, the north countryside of Japan.
It’s very far for members in Tokyo and takes a long time to visit (About half a day!), so we rarely go there.

I’ve been to the factory twice so far, and think they are a very contrastive place from Tokyo, where our showroom is located.
Our showroom locates in an urban and fashionable city.
From there, we can easily access many major department stores or boutiques.
On the other hand, our factory ware surrounded by enriching nature.
Toyooka city is well known as a city of storks, a once endangered species.
And also as hand-made leather bags.
The nearby city is Kinosaki, which is one of the famous hot spring resorts in Japan.
With a long distance between two places, I sometimes feel inconvenienced.
But I like both places. Using the uniqueness of each, we want to expand our hanger world.

私はNAKATA HANGERに勤務するスタッフAです。
これから少しずつ、身近な出来事や日本のこと、そしてもちろんハンガーの話を綴っていきたいと思います。
今回は当社の所在地の話です。
当社の本社及び工場は兵庫県のほぼ日本海側にある豊岡市にあるのですが、
私は普段は東京の青山にあるショールームに勤務しています。
東京から本社に行くにはおよそ半日もかかるほど距離が離れていることもあり、ショールームメンバーが本社を訪れることは滅多にありません。本当はもっと行きたいのですが。
私はこれまでに二度本社に出張したことがあるのですが、東京のショールームと豊岡の本社は非常に対照的な環境下にあり、このコントラストがとても面白いと感じています。
青山は実は交通の便がとても良く、都内の主な百貨店やアパレルショップにも通いやすい場所です。青山という場所柄、おしゃれな人も沢山お見かけする正に都会的な街と言えるでしょう。
一方で豊岡は本当に緑豊かな自然に囲まれた場所です。
豊岡市は国の特別天然記念物に指定されているコウノトリが生息する場所としてよく知られています。「赤ちゃんを運んでくる鳥」の伝説の話を聞くとピンと来る方もいるでしょうか。又豊岡市は革鞄の製造でも有名です。
本社から車を少し走らせると、温泉地として有名な城崎にも行くことができます。東京では味わえないことを見たり体験したりすることができるので、本社に行くといつも新鮮な景色を目の当たりにします。
本社とショールームに距離があることで不便なことももちろん沢山あるのですが、私は両方の場所がとても好きです。お互いの場所の特性を活かしながら、私達の作るハンガーの魅力を伝えていきたいと思います。
